CEPER GENERACIÓN DEL 27

Who are we?

We are very happy to greet you from CEPER Generación del 27. We are a team of 5 teachers committed to Lifelong Learning and eager to continue in Erasmus+ projects.

We have a committed teaching staff with a management that has just renewed and two English teachers with a definitive destination at this school. In addition, the teachers who have not been permanently assigned to this school have been with us for several years.

Prior to the current project "Go deep into Europe", our school has been immersed in a consortium "Immerse yourself in Europe" together with the Teacher Centre of Jaén and two centres of Permanent Education "CEPER Tavara" and "CEPER Antonio Machado" with which we have carried out mobilities from 2019 to 2022. This previous experience is good to carry out our individual project.

Where are we located?

Our main activity takes place in Los Villares, situated 9 kilometers from the capital of Jaén. Jaén has one of the largest natural parks in Europe, the Cazorla Sierra y las Villas Park, the Jaén Cathedral as the most important Renaissance monument in Andalusia, the largest Arab Baths in Europe, an immense sea of olive trees, a land of many castles and the largest exporter of olive oil in the world.

Within the organisation of the centre, we have a classroom in Valdepeñas de Jaén, 21 km from the main centre.

These towns are located in the Sierra Sur, in the Southwest of Jaén, in a natural environment of great beauty. It has a population of around 6000 inhabitants in Los Villares and around 4000 in Valdepeñas de Jaén, mainly dedicated to agriculture, especially olive groves and seasonal agricultural campaigns in countries such as France.

The climate is mountainous, with clean and healthy air, cold in winter and cool in summer, which means that they are tourist destinations in the summer months.

What are we pursuing?

AIMS

Our membership of Erasmus+ with "Go deep into Europe" and its objectives are in line with our objectives at school level. At a general level, these objectives focus on improving the personal and professional skills of our students and teachers.

To this end, in our project we have been granted a job shadowing mobility for two teachers from the school and a mobility with fifteen adults and three accompanying persons.

These opportunities mean, among other benefits, to involve our students with fewer job opportunities to learn new ways for their training and employability.

In addition, it gives us the possibility of attracting students as our school would bring new horizons to something unknown in these small towns.

"Go deep into Europe" is committed to:

IMPROVING THE LANGUAGE SKILLS OF TEACHERS AND STUDENTS.
LEARNING NEW METHODOLOGIES AND DIGITAL TOOLS FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS.

3.INCREASING STUDENT MOTIVATION

How are we going to achieve this?

Thanks to the fact that our Erasmus + project "Go deep into Europe" has been co-funded by the European Union, we are going to carry out two types of mobilities in our school. On the one hand, the visit to an educational center abroad and, on the other hand, the mobility with the students, something totally innovative and motivating for them. Let us explain it better:

With our visit to an educational school abroad we intend to observe methodological aspects for teaching and learning foreign languages, use of spaces, class work, meetings, updating of teachers, coordination between teachers, tutoring of new teachers who join the system. Likewise, the observation of the use of technologies for the development of classes with students and their possible application in our school.

To round it all according to this we would be interested in an observation by our teaching staff.

MOBILITY WITH STUDENTS

With students we would like them to collaborate in activities with their counterparts in other EU countries that could provide them with knowledge, development of personal and work skills and an enriching personal experience focused on language learning, digital tools and observing strategies to increase student motivation and improve the number of enrolments.

Therefore, we would be very interested in a mobility with our students to your school. We would be three teachers and sixteen students. Please let us know if you would be interested in our collaboration.

What are we good at?

Our school can contribute ideas to schools in other European countries because we work with a sector of the population, on average 50 years old, who are very committed to their learning because they are in a non-compulsory system.

We are in a system in which it is necessary to maintain good relations with local institutions in order to improve the success of our centre as it keeps most of the citizens active through our educational offer.

Within our plans, we carry out handicrafts, we teach languages, we promote healthy lifestyle habits, we actively participate in activities that fight against gender violence, we are committed to the environment by promoting recycling activities and we have been a centre promoting positive coexistence for several years.
